SANTA FE, TX, – With the best interest of our Santa Fe ISD family, community members, and local businesses in mind, the Santa Fe TX Education Foundation has made the decision to reschedule the February 25 Starlight Gala to April 6. The decision to reschedule was easy, recognizing the stress our community is enduring while working hard to recover and make repairs to their homes or businesses.
With that being said, the excitement is very much alive and the Foundation cannot wait to unveil its Starlight Gala with every one of you through a watch party from home or work. There have been countless hours poured into every detail to ensure that while this is a virtual event, that it will still be a first-class event. The focus is to showcase teachers and students while intertwining community leaders, to show solidarity to achieve more in Santa Fe ISD.
“It’s surreal to think that we will wait another six weeks to bring this to you but that just means we have more time to fine-tune and build the excitement for our biggest fundraiser of the year! Most importantly, it feels good knowing that we are letting our community take a moment to breathe and recover before we proceed with this event,” Gina Welsh, Executive Director, Santa Fe TX Education Foundation.
Together with KHEA Radio, the Starlight Gala will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube for all to view and participate. Everyone is invited whether you have a connection to a student or employee in Santa Fe ISD or if you are curious how a virtual event works. The Foundation is eager to share with you its work and how it impacts the classrooms in Santa Fe ISD.
