Monday: Friendswood visits Texas City in water polo action at Doyle Natatorium, with the girls starting at 5:00pm and the boys getting underway at 6:00pm.
The Rockets welcome the Grizzlies to Toyota Center for a 7:00pm start. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will start with the pregame show at 6:30pm.
Galveston Country Club will be the site for the District 24-6A girls’ golf championship, a two-day event that will set the top finishers up on the road toward next month’s regionals.
If the University of Houston defeated Syracuse on Saturday, the Cougars will play the winners of Oregon State and Loyola-Chicago for the right to win the Midwest Region and earn a trip to the Final Four. If the Cougars do win on Monday, it would mark the first trip to the Final Four since the 1983-84 team lost to Georgetown in the national title game, completing a run of three straight trips to the Final Four for UH.
Tuesday: The high school baseball schedule will have Clear Springs at Clear Brook, Brazoswood at Clear Falls, Dickinson at Clear Lake, Galveston Ball at Friendswood, Santa Fe at Manvel and Baytown Lee at Texas City each starting at 6:00pm. La Marque at Needville gets going at 7:00pm.
In high school softball, Sweeny at La Marque starts at 6:00pm, followed by Clear Brook at Clear Falls, Dickinson at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Clear Lake, Galveston Ball at Friendswood, Manvel at Santa Fe and Baytown Lee at Texas City each at 6:30pm.
