Challenges created by the COVID pandemic has led to a unique partnership between Dickinson High School’s Health Science program, UTMB and Higher Up Texas. Both DHS and UTMB were looking for ways to give health science students experiences outside the classroom, which had become limited due to COVID precautions. With coordinating help from Higher Up Texas, a new mentoring program has been formed which is allowing the DHS health science students to learn directly from UTMB students about experiences in pursuing a career in health science.
