League City’s Helen Hall Library has earned the 2021 Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award. Of the 565 public library systems in Texas, Helen Hall Library is one of only 59 who have earned this year’s award.
Each year, the Texas Municipal Library Director’s Association confers the Achievement of Library Excellence Award for outstanding contributions to public libraries in Texas. Applicants must exhibit excellence in providing services to underserved and special populations, enhancing services, marketing their programs and services in innovative ways, promoting cultural, topical, and educational programming, providing literacy support, providing summer reading clubs, pursuing collaborative efforts, supporting workforce development, providing for digital inclusion, and comprehensively training staff.
With this honor, Helen Hall Library is now in the top 10% of all public libraries in the State.
