Friendswood’s girls’ soccer team lost a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to Magnolia in the 5A, Region III finals on Saturday. Tbe Mustangs finished the 2021-22 season with an impressive 26-2-0 record, winning 25 of their matches via shutout. All but three players return for next season, making coach Laura Peter’s team a strong threat to compete for a state championship.
