Dickinson High School Robotics News…
Four of the seven Dickinson High School robotics teams have been invited to participate in the South Texas VEX EDR – Turning Point – High School State Tournament on February 23 at Clear Falls High School. Congratulations to these students on this accomplishment.
In other DHS robotics news, all seven of the robotics teams competed at the Space City VEX Tournament on February 9. This was the last regular season tournament for the teams and they represented Dickinson very well. Five of the teams advanced into the elimination bracket. One of the teams advanced all the way through the semi-finals round (top four teams). This team lost the semi-finals match by one point and was eliminated. Congratulations to team lead Alyssa Miller, Abraham Guerrero Trevino, Kyle Morgan, Jose Pardo, Teylor Perez, Jose Resendez and Jacquelyn Sanchez for making it to the semi-finals round.
Kranz Junior High Robotics News…
The Kranz Junior High Robotics Teams participated recently against 32 other teams in the area. The Gene Machine Team came in seventh place out of 32 teams and Marta Bots had a great run for their first tournament.
Calder Road Elementary Robotics News…
The Calder Road Elementary VEX IQ team was invited to the South Texas VEX IQ – Next Level – Elementary State Tournament on March 2. This is a very big accomplishment for the Calder Road Robotics students!
TCHS Robotics Ties World Record
Texas City High School Robotics continued to excel at another tournament and even tied a World Record! Awards won at Clear Creek ISD’s Space City Vex Tournament on Feb. 9 included: Amaze Award for 590S; Division Champions and Tournament Finalists 590S and 590B; and a tie of the WORLD RECORD highest match score for 590B and 590S in the division quarterfinals! All of the TCHS robotics teams have qualified to compete at State based on their successful season. Their teacher is James Jobe
