WE ARE STINGAREES AND COUGARS. We are Indians, Mustangs, Wildcats, Gators, Chargers and Tors along with our family of Wolverines, Bulldogs and Knights.
We are Galveston County, and over the past 18 months, we have responded to the challenges and tragedies that hit our area. We have cried together, hugged together and helped each other pick up the pieces and begin anew.
This stretch of Texas is ours. It may lack the size of Houston, Dallas or San Antonio, but this is the best part of Texas, bar none.
We are Galveston County Strong, and on March 17, The Post Newspaper wants to give the county a platform to say “Thank You” to those who have helped us flex our muscles in both good and bad moments. Not only do we invite you to advertise, but we also want to provide the opportunity to salute the unsung heroes of this area.
If there is someone who you feel defines Galveston County Strong, let us know about it, because we want to share their stories with the rest of our family.
Regardless of political affiliation, choice of religion or preference of favorite high school sports team, the one thing that ties us all together is we are all residents of Galveston County. United, we are strong.
Let’s celebrate the beauty and the splendor of Galveston County as the family that we are.
