Clear Springs boys’ golfer Niko Nebout placed third in the 6A state championships, which was
held in Georgetown on Monday and Tuesday. Nebout shot a 140, putting him only shot behind
Austin Westlake’s Thomas Bockholt, who defeated Northwest Nelson’s David Harris in a playoff.
Nebout’s score was the lowest individual finish at state in school history.
Registration for the 57 th Annual Texas City-La Marque Jaycees Tackle Time Fishing Tournament
is now available. The event will run from June 28 at 12:01am thru July 7 at 1:00pm. Offshore
Division is $50, while Inshore Division is $25, and Youth Division is $10. Tickets are available at
Tournament headquarters, Boyd’s One Stop and Lee’s Bait and Tackle. Registration is also
available online at tclmjaycees.com/tackletime.
La Marque Public Library said goodbye to beloved Children’s Librarian Teri Walker, whose last
