Today, we would like to highlight a returning vendor Tamera Kriter, local artist and owner of {the shard yard}. Tamera received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She was formerly the Administrative Associate Director for The Royal Academy of Fine Arts for many years. She loves to help adults and children express their creativity through the unique form of reclaimed glass art. Tamera’s reclaimed glass artwork may be seen at the 3rd Annual Artisan and Home Décor Market or at her studio in Alvin, Texas. For more information, please visit theshardyard.com or call (409)218-1775.
We are also pleased to introduce a new vendor to our Artisan and Home Décor Market. Please meet Linda Eader. She is a Midwesterner who has been a Southerner for 47 years. She grew up in Illinois, until she married and has been in Texas ever since raising a family and teaching school occupied her time. Her artful journey began 12 years ago when she retired as an educator for 30 years. She had always been interested in arts and crafts but being free from a job really got her going. She has a very good friend who is an artist and she inspired her to follow her heart. Also, believe it or not, she did one of the paint and sip classes and fell in love with acrylics! She is self-taught with the aid of YouTube videos and senior citizen art classes. She likes to explore different mediums and techniques and that is why she calls herself a mixed media artist.
Save the date of September 28, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for the 3rd Annual Artisan and Home Décor Market, The Club, 1610 Tuscan Village Drive, League City, TX 77573. For more information: VTLartisanmarket@gmail.com
