Pop-Up Library Alert!! Moore Memorial Library joined the Texas City Garden Club at their 48th Annual Holiday Gift Shop! They had a great selection of popular titles and holiday reads that were available for check-out at the event. There was also an opportunity to sign up for a library card if you did not already have one!
Library Renovation Update ~ The new walls are officially up inside Moore Memorial Public Library! And with them comes a clearer layout of the library’s interior. The walls of the new lobby are now in place! Imagine how the area will look once completed and with new, comfortable furniture for guests to use! All in all, a welcomed treat.
The brick walls in front of the library are coming down! Now the front of the library is visible from the street, and patrons inside will have a view of the lawn and fountain in front. With the help of the Texas City Garden Club the pot plants in front will be blooming with beautiful plants and flowers. This will make the library seem so much more welcoming! The low wall that remains will be capped off and turned into a bench for patrons to use.
The Children’s Department will have new fun editions for smaller patrons to enjoy! The rounded and square holes will function as portholes for children and guests to peer through out into the general library floor.
