From Clear Falls to Dickinson to Friendswood and all 5A and 6A schools, Monday felt like New Year’s Day as athletes were finally able to participate in fall practices. The national pandemic forced the UIL to push the two classifications from their usual August start, but the fall sports teams won’t have to wait too long to participate as volleyball begins its regular season next week while football teams will get their chance to scrimmage before starting its revamped regular season on September 24.
