Lone Star Drift moves to Gulf Greyhound Park
It has been quite a year! Round 4 of Lone Star Drift will be moved to Gulf Greyhound Park on September 19, 2020 at 6:30am and September 20, 2020 at 7:30pm. The move to GGP is due to Texas Motor Speedway remaining closed.
Cost to drive for LSD and TXSL drivers is $160. Drivers pay at the gate like normal.
Cost to spectate: $20, which covers the whole weekend, come in and out as many times as you please.
1. The normal Lone Star Drift Series and Texas Street Legal will be competing like normal!
2. We will be hosting a single round of Formula D Proam. Important things to think about are below for this series.
a. All cars in this class will have to conform to the 2020 Formula Drift Proam/Pro2 rulebook: https://vegasdrift.com/pro-2-licensing-rulebook/
b. There will be no weighing of the cars.
c. Tires under 300TW will be limited to a 255 width. Tires 300TW or over will be limited to a 285 width.
d. Cost to register specifically for the FD qualifier will be $500, please contact Aaron Losey to register directly. You must register online in advance, and spots are limited. No registrations will be taken at the gate for this class.
e. Format will be old school qualifying and then a comp. The first half of the competition will take place on Saturday afternoon, the second half of the competition will take place Sunday afternoon.
f. There are a limited amount of driver spots.
