Baseball and softball will have to share the spotlight as the girls’ 22-5A golf tournament and a pair of water polo matches are part of the early week’s schedule.
Sunday: The Rockets host NBA MVP candidate Ja Morant and the playoff-bound Grizzlies at 6:00pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest has the game live, with the pregame show starting things at 5:30pm.
Monday: Galveston Ball hosts a boys’ golf meet at Moody Garden Golf Course, a meet that will also include Texas City among the teams competing.
The Rockets welcome the Wizards to Toyota Center for a 7:00pm start. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have coverage at 6:30pm beginning with the pregame show.
Tuesday: The girls’ golf teams of District 22-5A will face off at Bay Forest Golf Course, with the top finishers bound for the regional tournament early next month.
Meanwhile, the high school baseball schedule will have Texas City at Katy High at 5:30pm, followed by Clear Creek at Clear Brook, Clear Springs at Clear Falls, Brazoswood at Dickinson, Friendswood at Baytown Lee and Columbia at La Marque at 6:00pm. Galveston Ball at Santa Fe square off at 7:00pm.
The high school softball slate has Hitchcock at East Bernard at 5:00pm, followed by Needville at La Marque at 5:30pm. Dickinson at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Lake, Brazoswood at Clear Springs, Baytown Sterling at Friendswood, Santa Fe at La Porte and Texas City at Goose Creek Memorial all start at 6:30pm.
Water polo action will have Clear Falls at La Porte and Texas City at Friendswood. The girls’ matches will be at 5:00pm, with the boys going at 6:00pm.
