While the Rockets (mercifully) see their season end, the Astros complete their first series of the 2022 season in Los Angeles before hopping to Arizona on the second stage of a lengthy road trip. The high school baseball and softball seasons start pushing toward the end of its regular seasons, while Hitchcock and La Marque will see its track and field athletes compete for spots in the regional meet.
Sunday: The Rockets conclude their regular season with a visit from the Hawks at 2:30pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (territorial restrictions) will have coverage beginning at 2:00pm with the pregame show.
Meanwhile, AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (again, territorial restrictions) will have the final game of the opening series between the Astros and the Angels. The pregame show starts at 2:30pm, leading into the 3:07pm first pitch.
Monday: La Marque and the rest of District 25-4A start the first of the two-day track and field finals at Sweeny High School. The conclusion will be held on Wednesday.
One softball game is on the slate with Hitchcock visiting Van Vleck at 5:00pm.
Tuesday: The high school baseball schedule starts with Clear Falls at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Dickinson, Clear Springs at Clear Lake, Galveston Ball at Baytown Sterling and Stafford at La Marque at 6:00pm. Texas City at Santa Fe concludes the schedule at 7:00pm.
Brazosport at La Marque begins the high school softball schedule at 5:30pm, followed by Brazoswood at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Springs, Clear Falls at Clear Lake, Baytown Sterling at Galveston Ball and Santa Fe at La Marque at 6:30pm.
Hitchcock will be among the 24-3A schools competing in the district track and field meet at Sweeny High School.
Continuing as road warriors, the Astros continue their visit out west when they start a two-game set at the Diamondbacks at 8:40pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 8:00pm.
