Upward Hope Academy’s soon-to-be-graduate Clemente Lopez was awarded $2,000 in scholarship money. Texas City American Legion and Legion Riders both elected to give Lopez $1,000 for his future as a college student. He aspires to go into welding at Galveston College. Currently he is employed at Millers on the Seawall while finishing work as a high school senior.
