647High school volleyball gets going in earnest with all but Clear Falls and La Marque starting their regular seasons to begin the week. The Astros get a Sunday brunch game and a day off before welcome the Rangers to Minute Maid Park on Tuesday.
Sunday: The Astros and Guardians conclude their four-game set as part of Peacock’s Sunday Baseball Brunch showcase beginning at 11:05am. It also means a day off for AT&T Sportsnet Southwest.
Monday: The 2022 high school volleyball regular season gets going when Santa Fe visits Tarkington at 6:30pm.
Tuesday: Volleyball takes over Tuesday’s schedule, as Clear Falls will hold a team scrimmage at 9:00am before regular season action continues with Clear Brook at St. Agnes and Clear Springs at George Ranch at 5:30pm. Hitchcock at Anahuac starts at 6:00pm, followed by Clear Creek at Manvel, Dickinson at Friendswood, Pasadena at Galveston Ball and Texas City at Alvin at 6:30pm. The Astros return home to host the rival Rangers in the first of a three-game set. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (Astros) and Bally’s Sportsnet Southwest (Rangers) will each start their respective pregame shows at 6:30pm, leading into the first pitch at 7:10pm.
