(ANGLETON, Texas) – It’s time once again in Brazoria and Galveston Counties to map the future of agriculture for the coming year. Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau (CFB) will host its county convention at 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
“Our county convention is an opportunity for members to connect, learn more about our programs, address the challenges facing agriculture and set the course for our county Farm Bureau for the upcoming year,” Charles LeCompte, Brazoria-Galveston CFB president said.
Brazoria-Galveston CFB will consider policy resolutions to guide the Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) in 2027 and elect leaders to represent Brazoria and Galveston County farmers, ranchers and business owners.
This year’s guest speaker will be Laramie Adams, Texas Farm Bureau Associate Director of Government Affairs. He will speak about Texas Farm Bureau benefits available to members. There will also be a short business meeting following the speaker.
Voting delegates will also be selected to represent Brazoria and Galveston Counties at the TFB annual meeting in December in Arlington.
The Brazoria-Galveston CFB county convention will be held at The Barn at Peltier Ranch located at 733 Spur 28 in Danbury. A dinner catered by Filipp’s Cafe will be served. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to local food banks as part of Texas Farm Bureau’s Farmers Feeding Families program. Seating is limited to 150 people, so an RSVP is required. Please call Natalie Closs at 979-849-9331 or email Deana at deana.fuchs@bgcfb.org by Friday, September 18 if you would like to attend.
