DEE ANN HANEY ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION BID

Dee Ann Haney is seeking re-election to City
Commissioner-at-Large in Texas City. Haney was first
elected to the Commission in May of 2004.
Dee Ann is a past member of the Texas City Museum
Board and Texas City Planning Commission. She currently
serves on the Houston-Galveston Area Council
(H-GAC), Galveston County Transit District Board (Vice-
Chair), Galveston County Animal Advisory Services
Committee, and the Galveston County Mayors and
Council-members’ Association (Vice-President). She is
also member of the Rotary Club of Texas City and is an
active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church
and where she serves on the Advisory Council and
Board of Trustees.
A 1 981 g raduate o f T exas C ity H igh S chool, h er
education includes AA and AS degrees from College
of the Mainland, a BS in Industrial Hygiene and Safety
from the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and a
MS in Technology with a concentration in Emergency
Management from Arizona State University.
With over 25 years of experience, Haney is a safety
engineer in safety, health, environmental, hazmat, and
emergency management and holds multiple professional
designations including Certified Industrial Hygienist
(CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified
Emergency Manager (CEM), Certified Texas Emergency
Manager (TEM), Safety Management Specialist (SMS).

of Texas City and let’s continue working together for an
even better Texas City”.
The election will be held on Saturday, May 5th.
