SIGNS OF HOPE

By Robin Reeves
St. George’s Episcopal Church in Texas City inspired
by the Daily New’s Naming of Everyday Heroes in their
Profiles magazine — nominated a few of their own heroes
and designated these servant-hearted people as “Signs
of Hope” in our midst this past Saturday night at their
Spring Soiree’ Fundraiser. These are people whom have
sacrificed for the care of others in need. In addition, all
throughout Easter-tide (40 days of Easter) the congregation
is giving away bracelets to those whom they see
as Signs of Hope in our community. In this way we are
all challenged to look for what is good and hopeful in
our midst. Pastor Robin Reeves says, “As we note the
actions of others which brings us Hope we too are challenged
to be that in our community.” “Imagine the change
we could impact if we all at least complimented those
who are Signs of Hope to us? It certainly can’t hurt the
current state of affairs and it just might help!” We invite
you to take the Sign of Hope Challenge and let at least
two people know they have been a Sign of Hope to you
this week. In this way, Jesus, our hope, is still alive and
in our midst.
