ON TRACK FOR BACKING THE T.C. BLUE

Food, Fun and Fast Flying Police Officers at the First Annual Blue Streak Go Kart Rally on
Saturday September 29th. The Texas City Police Academy Alumni Association is sponsoring a
fundraiser with proceeds to go toward the purchase of a K-9 to replace retiring K-9 Indy. Everyone
is invited to come out to the Bay Area Raceway on 45 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to watch
twelve team vie for the first place trophy. Competing will be CID, CSI, Bomb Squad, SWAT, K-9,
Records, Administration, Dispatch and the four platoons that guard our streets.

and members of his Texas City Citizens Police Academy Alumni pit crew, Frank Proctor and
Becky Holke.
Velasco, a 30 year veteran of the Texas City Police department, plans to show the other driver’s
(LT. Creel, CPL Judson, CPL Baugh, CPL Ham), that they just can’t compete against his experience
during the Blue Streak Go-Kart Race September 29th.
