WHY STOP THE BLEED IS SO IMPORTANT

With the continuing violence

in our nation’s

schools, churches, and

other places where people

should feel safe, the

American College of Surgeons’

(ACS) Stop the

Bleed® program continues

to empower the

general public to make a

difference in a life-threatening

emergency. It is

imperative that everyone

work to promote this program

in their institutions

and communities.https://

In the interest of promoting

the ability to respond

effectively should a bleeding incident occur, we are posting on our website, thepostnewspaper.net,

several videos to help our readers become better informed

In the early moments after natural and intentional trauma, bystanders are often present before the arrival

of first responders. “A Perfect Stranger” tells the story of Kinneil and Angelia and the event that brought the

two women together. It is a powerful reminder that at a moment’s notice, any one of us might find ourselves

in a situation where we are the help until help arrives. In the end, this film calls on all Americans to remake

what it means to be a bystander.
