In the process of baking the other day, I used the last of my “Eggland’s Best” Organic eggs and then opened the
“Pasture Raised” eggs and was stunned to see the difference. So I did a little research and found that organic is a
fairly loose term,
cage free just
means the chickens
are housed
together is one
large area, and
pasture raised
means you are
getting as close
to yard eggs as
you can get in a
grocery store.
So much of
what we consume
is processed to
the point of uselessness
and
though it does
cost a little more,
perhaps that extra
45 cents is
a bargain when
you look close
enough!
