McCarty-Williams returns to WNBA
BROOKE MCCARTY-WILLIAMS will get another shot at the WNBA as the former Clear Springs girls’ basketball superstar signed with the Dallas Wings this week.
McCarty-Williams is currently playing for Peli-Karhut of the Finnish Korisliga, where she is averaging 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and two steals per game. She was in the training camp of the Los Angeles Sparks last spring before going overseas.
A four-year starter at the University of Texas, McCarty-Williams started 118 of her 139 games with the Longhorns, finishing her career with the second-most three-pointers in school history with 245. She is also ranked fifth in games played and seventh in school annuals in games started.
Ranked 15th on the UT career scoring list and 10th in career assists, McCarty-Williams was a two-time All-America nominee and a three-time All-Big 12 first team selection.
