Freshman in name only: Wydermyer honored among SEC’s best
DICKINSON FRESHMAN Jalen Wydermeyer was selected to the Pro Football Focus all-Southeastern Conference second team after establishing himself as one of the nation’s most promising talents at tight end.
Originally not expected to see much time going into training camp, Wydermeyer was thrust into a bigger role when fellow freshman Baylor Cupp suffered a season-ending knee injury in August. Wydermeyer worked his way into the rotation and finished the regular season as the Aggies’ starter, catching 31 passes for 419 yards and six touchdowns.
