Dickinson High School alum Chris Welch became the first Houston Baptist University member to participate in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held this Friday and Saturday. Welch’s 16.27m jump at the Texas A&M Invitational on February 22 was the best in the Southland Conference and sixth-best among all collegians this season.
