Much of the state of Texas was hit with a heavy dose of snow over the weekend. That is, everyone but those in the Galveston County area. Despite the prospects of having its first snowfall since December 2017, the snow only got as far as Huntsville, as the area was pelted with a steady yet cold rain for much of Sunday.
Based on the long-term forecast, the chances of the area getting its taste of snow are dim. The weather will remain cold for much of the remainder of January, but — at least for now — the closest we will get to snow down here is gazing at the following photos.
Then again, we will all be longing for those photos later in the year when the baking heat and humidity returns for its extended stay.
