Preparing for college can be hard, but there are agencies that can help not only the students but the parents with this process.
My organization, Craving For Change Foundation, has created a transition Academy for ages 14-20 that helps them with the process of transitioning to higher education after graduating high school. We are offering two different versions of the Youth Transition Academy. We are offering a condensed version, which will be a four-week program where we meet weekly virtually, and we also are offering a six-week program where we meet weekly for two hours. The difference between the programs is within the condensed program we will be offering less information and within the regular format you will be getting more information as well as you’ll receive some things in the mail.
The purpose of the Youth Transition Academy is to be able to provide steps to the youth about what is needed to transition into the next level of education period. Some of the things that will be discussed is applying for college, finding colleges, finding majors, along with applying for grants and scholarships for college. While this is a program that is offered for the youth, it’s also very informative for the parents to be engaged and informed as well due to there being a lot of information that the kids may have questions and need assistance with.
The next version of the condensed version will be starting on February 4 and will be meeting weekly from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. If you’re interested and/or know a kid that is interested, my contact information is below along with the sign up to the link.
