Top-ranked Santa Fe and area softball powerhouse Friendswood collided in a tight contest on Tuesday night before the Indians, ranked first in Class 5A, scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to hold off the Mustangs 2-0. Santa Fe hurler Sidne Peters went the distance to record the win.
