
The first full week of April brings the Astros (remember baseball in April?) along with a pair of games from the Rockets. However, the focus is local as both high school baseball and softball teams gear up for the home stretch of their respective regular seasons.
Sunday: The Astros conclude their season-opening series against the Athletics as Jose Urquidy takes the mound for Houston, while Oakland had yet to name a starter as of Friday night. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have coverage beginning at 2:30pm, leading into the 3:07pm start time.
End your Easter Sunday with hoops as the Rockets host the Pelicans for a 7:00pm tilt at Toyota Center. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest begins its coverage at 6:30pm.
Monday: Texas City takes on Clear Creek in water polo action at the Doyle Natatorium. The girls begin at 5:00pm, followed by the boys at 6:00pm.

Continuing their opening trip out west, the Astros visit the Angels starting at 8:38pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest has coverage starting with the pregame show at 8:00pm. Luis Garcia gets the nod from Houston, while the Angels had yet to name a starter as of Friday.
Tuesday: The high school baseball schedule begins at 6:00pm with Clear Brook at Clear Falls, Dickinson at Clear Creek, Clear Lake at Clear Springs, La Porte at Friendswood, Galveston Ball at Manvel, Sweeny at La Marque, Baytown Lee at Santa Fe and Texas City at Baytown Sterling. Danbury at Hitchcock completes the evening’s slate at 7:00pm.
In high school softball, Danbury at Hitchcock and La Marque at Stafford each start at 5:00pm, followed by Clear Brook at Brazoswood at 6:00pm. Clear Springs at Clear Creek, Clear Lake at Clear Falls, Goose Creek Memorial at Friendswood, Galveston Ball at Baytown Lee, Santa Fe at Baytown Sterling and Texas City at Manvel each start at 6:30pm.
Coming off an impressive outing in Thursday’s regular season opener, Zach Greinke gets his second start of the 2021 campaign in the second game of the series at the Angels, who will counter with Dylan Bundy when the teams collide at 8:08pm.
