The Salvation Army of Galveston County is happy to announce that the 2021 Kettle campaign has met 6% of the annual goal three days before the official start of the season on Black Friday.
“Some of the local retailers opened early to us again this year, including Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Sam’s and Cabela’s,” explained Major Nathanael Doria of The Salvation Army. “People have been very kind and we are excited to see what will happen when the rest of the locations open up on Friday. We invite the community to consider what they can do to help us reach the goal of $250,000 before Christmas Eve. People are always in need and we can only serve those who come seeking help if the community supports the effort.”
A virtual Kettle set up for those who want to participate online that can be found at www.SalvationArmyGalvestonCounty.org along with information on volunteering.
