
Both the high school baseball and softball regular seasons inch toward their respective conclusions while the Astros finally get a chance to sleep in their own beds as they start the home portion of the 2022 regular season.
Sunday: The Astros finally conclude their opening road trip with a 3:10pm tilt at the Mariners. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest begins coverage with the pregame show at 2:30pm.
Monday: Shaky weather last Tuesday led to rescheduling of the Santa Fe at Texas City softball game, which will now be played at 5:00pm. The weather also forced the Stafford at La Marque baseball game to 3:00pm.
The 5A, Region III boys’ golf tournament starts its first round at the Margaritaville Lake Resort in Montgomery. The final round will be held on Tuesday.
Finally, the Astros come home to Minute Maid Park for fans to see them live and in person. The home schedule begins with a 7:10pm start against the Angels, with AT&T Sportsnet Southwest beginning coverage with the pregame show at 6:00pm.
Tuesday: The high school softball schedule starts with Hempstead at Hitchcock at 5:00pm, followed by Clear Creek at Clear Falls, Dickinson at Clear Springs, Manvel at Friendswood, Texas City at Galveston Ball, and Santa Fe at Goose Creek Memorial all starting at 6:30pm.
Meanwhile, the high school baseball slate has Brazoswood at Clear Brook, Clear Springs at Clear Creek, Clear Lake at Clear Falls, Friendswood at Manvel, Galveston Ball at Texas City, and Brazosport at La Marque beginning at 6:00pm. Goose Creek Memorial at Santa Fe starts at 7:00pm.
