High school volleyball anchors the schedule for the start of the week, which begins with the Astros finishing up a weekend set against the Braves in what could be a sneak peek into this year’s World Series matchup. Sporting the best record in the American League, the Astros then come home to start a six-game stand.

Sunday: The Astros conclude what may not be their only trip to Atlanta with a 12:35pm start against the Braves. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest begins coverage at 12:00pm with the pregame show.

Monday: No games scheduled.

Tuesday: High school volleyball takes front and center, with Jersey Village at Clear Brook beginning the evening’s matches at 5:300pm. Hitchcock visits Columbia at 6:00pm, while Deer Park at Clear Creek, Summer Creek at Clear Falls, Dawson at Clear Springs, Alvin at Dickinson, Friendswood at Pearland, Galveston Ball at Fort Bend Terry, Santa Fe at Shadow Creek and Iowa Colony at Texas City are each 6:30pm starts.

Texas City visits Aldine MacArthur in team tennis at 3:00pm.

Texas City’s water polo team collides with Friendswood, as the girls’ match starts at 5:30pm, while the boys get underway at 6:30pm.

The Astros return home to open a three-game set against a Twins team bidding for a postseason spot. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage at 6:30pm, leading into the 7:10pm start time.
