Friendswood defensive end/linebacker Braylan Shelby was named to the Houston Touchdown Club’s preseason team, which was announced on Wednesday. Shelby, who recently committed to the University of Southern California, was one of two area players named to the squad, as Dickinson defensive back Vernon Glover, Jr., who committed to TCU this summer, also was named to the squad.
