SUNSHINE AND SPORTS MAKES FOR A GREAT SPRING BREAK COMBO

WITH SPRING Break arriving, the start of the week will see a host of afternoon
games for high school baseball, soccer and softball. Meanwhile, the
Rockets look to continue bolstering the best record in the NBA as they visit
their t wo instate rivals in the Mavericks and Spurs.
TODAY, SUNDAY: The Rockets, who entered the weekend with a 17-game
win streak, will visit the rival Mavericks at 6:00pm. Houston owned a 51-13
record heading into Friday’s game against at the Raptors and are within
range of recording the first 60-win season in the history of the franchise.
They have won each of the previous three meetings against Dallas this
season beginning with a 107-91 home win on October 21 before downing
the Mavs by identical 104-97 finals in Dallas on January 24 and at Toyota
Center on February 11. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will begin its coverage
with the pregame show at 5:30pm.
TOMORROW, MONDAY: One soccer match is on the schedule as Galveston
Ball visits Fort Bend Marshall at noon.
In softball, Alvin at Dickinson begins at 1:00pm. Texas City is at Fort Bend
Willowridge starting at 1:30pm while Clear Springs at Clear Falls and Clear
Creek and Friendswood are both 6:30pm starts.
The Rockets get the national spotlight when they host the rival Spurs on
ESPN beginning at 8:00pm. Houston defeated San Antonio 124-109 on December
15 before topping them on the road with a 102-91 victory on February
1. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will also air the game live and will begin
their c overage with the pregame show on 7:30pm.
TUESDAY: T he b aseball d ocket h as f ive g ames s tarting w ith G alveston
Ball at Texas City beginning at 1:00pm while Fort Bend Elkins is at Santa
Fe at 2:00pm. Clear Falls at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Springs and
Dickinson at Friendswood each begin at 7:00pm.
Softball play starts at 1:30pm with Fort Bend Willowridge at Santa Fe. La
Marque at Danbury is at 5:00pm while Hitchcock at East Bernard wraps up
the schedule at 6:30pm.
In boys soccer, Manvel at Texas City is at 7:10pm and Shadow Creek at
Santa Fe kicks off at 7:30pm. The girls soccer schedule has Texas City
at Manvel beginning at noon and Santa Fe at Shadow Creek starting at
7:30pm.
