La Marque, Texas (August 14, 2018) – At the August 13, 2018, City Council Meeting La Marque Mayor Bobby Hocking presented a proclamation to La Marque non-profit organization Khambrel Foundation for their efforts in creating a wave of kindness with Laundered with Kindness Day, which is schedule in Galveston County for September 8, 2018.
Laundered with Kindness, held annually, is a one-day grassroots movement where volunteers provide wash, dry, fold, dry cleaning and donated laundry products to families and individuals in need. According to Tonia Rene Griffin, Khambrel Foundation Founder, the choice between food and clean clothes and is struggle faced by many families in Galveston County. Tonia plans to free families from that burden on September 8.
“Laundered with Kindness Galveston County will serve the cities of La Marque, Texas City, Dickinson, Hitchcock and Galveston,” Griffin said. “All it takes is one Righteous Act to change a life. We invite you to join us and show others how kind life can truly be.”
Griffin seeks sponsors, donations and volunteers for the 2018 event. Interested parties can:

Proclamations for Laundered with Kindness Day Galveston County are planned in Texas City August 15, Hitchcock August 20, Galveston August 23 and Dickinson August 28.
Khambrel Foundation was founded, September 2015 to improve the social well-being of individuals, groups, neighborhoods and organizations.
