By the time you read this article The Moore Memorial Library will be closed for renovations. Now, don’t be alarmed…due to this closure you might experience “LWSD” …. Library Withdrawal Syndrome Disorder.
Not to worry, just keep in mind that the time will go fast and it’s brings exciting and wonderful things for the future!
You can still contact the staff at MML with general and reference questions at (409) 643-5977. Digital items can still be checked out. Download the Libby App or OverDrive for Android, Apple or Microsoft devices to access e-books and e-audiobooks.
Now, if just have a real need to be surrounded with the Whole Library Experience for a dose to cure your “LWSD” you’re in luck! The Galveston County Library System includes other Libraries for you to visit.

Getting a Library Card at any of these locations is easy and will allow you to check-out books or access digital items. All Texas residents can get a library card at any of the Galveston County Libraries with proof of address and identification.
