Bolivar: GOOD. 51 degrees. Hanna’s Reef Catching a few trout on soft-dine, fat boy and other twitchers. Jetties are holding redfish and black drum on the channel side. Whichever jetty allows the calm is producing speckled trout on popping corks with live shrimp. With another cold front coming look for fish to switch from 5-7 feet of water to 7-9 feet of water. Trinity Bay: GOOD. 61 degrees. Burnett Bay, San Jacinto Bay and Sylvan Beach are good for sheepshead, a few oversized drum, keeper black drum, and fair catches of speckled trout. Texas City: GOOD. 61 degrees. Big black drum are good at night on cut bait. Dollar Bay has redfish and black drum by the grass on dead shrimp. Wade Fishing near the flood gate. Dollar Reef holding some speckled trout on soft plastic and suspended twitch bait. Look for fish in that 5-7 feet of water coming off the reefs. Freeport: FAIR. 57 degrees. Fishing is slower despite an abundance of bait fish and the water is slightly off color. Trout are good drifting the bay with down south lures with 1/4 ounce jig head in 3-4 feet of water. Alligator Cut holding sheepshead and drum. Flounder are there but all smaller sized. Shoreline anglers are reeling in a few nice sized trout. Redfish are good on cut mullet and live shrimp. The water in the Colorado River and Diversion Canal are clearing up.
