We have all had some sort of brokenness in our life. Some may be going through it right now. Maybe it’s been a broken heart, a complicated situation, health issues, or broken relationships. Sometimes it’s out of our control and we feel helpless. We don’t know what to do, or who to turn to. The situation can be so devastated that we might feel there’s no reason to live. Keep in mind you are special to God and with Him there is always hope. God sent us help through His son Jesus. I suggest turning to Him because you can feel his peace and presence in the mist of the problems. Don’t get me wrong the pain is still there but it’s easier to go through, with Jesus the comforter.
We cannot put ourselves back together without the help of the Lord, who is our hope. When you feel your life is all shattered, know He can pick up the pieces and put them back together. Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Brokenhearted is to be overwhelmed by grief or disappointment. Your feelings, and emotions are real. Every part of you is a concern to Him. When you hurt, He hurts because you mean that much to Him. In the mist of brokenness, hurt and pain ask Jesus to come in and rescue you, and restore your joy. Spend some time in His presence focusing on His goodness and mercy towards you. Over a period of time your wounds and hurt will slowly diminish. He promises to renew your strength and give you unspeakable joy. It’s His love towards you that can and will turn that hurt into peace and joy.
John 14: 27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Jesus is saying the peace He gives is not like the worlds. The worlds is superficial and last for a moment. Jesus peace last through the toughest and worst times. His peace is there 24hrs 7days a week. Friends and family may be unavailable: sleep, at work or on vacation. Jesus is always there when you need Him. Others will see the joy in you and wonder how are you doing it? You know it’s only by His grace.
Nehemiah 8:10 “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” This tells me the Lord don’t want me to stay in sorrow. He wants me to turn to Him for joy and strength. So, if you are going through turn to the Lord to bring you out. Remember He will bring you out over and over. Then you can be joyful when you remember He’s done it before. That joy can move you into praise. When you are joyful, you can take your mind off the negative and hurtful things. As the song says, “When I think of His goodness and what He’s done for me, and how He set me free, I can dance, shout, sing, clap, and praise all night.”
You will have the strength to face the things that are before you. Because you have the peace and security knowing God is with you through it all. He will give you strength when you feel you can’t make it. He gives you strength that others admire. You will be able to say God did it!
