Schedule Begins to Settle In

With August approaching its end, the sports schedule is starting to settle into a pattern for the next few weeks, with high school volleyball dominating Tuesday evening. The week also starts with tennis and water polo, while the Astros head up I-45 to meet the Rangers.

Sunday: The Astros conclude their homestand with a 1:10 start against the Orioles. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 12:30pm.

Monday: No live events on the schedule. 

Tuesday: High school volleyball gets going with Clear Brook at Summer Creek, Clear Falls at Houston Jordan, Deer Park at Clear Springs, Dickinson at Pasadena Memorial, and La Marque at South Houston at 5:30pm. Hitchcock at Galveston O’Connell and Clear Lake at Texas City begin at 6:00pm, while Fulshear at Friendswood, Galveston Ball at Houston Heights, and Santa Fe at Goose Creek Memorial conclude the evening’s schedule at 6:30pm.

Texas City’s tennis team travels to Dayton for a 3:00pm start.

Galveston Ball visits Texas City for water polo at the Doyle Natatorium, with the girls starting at 5:30pm with the boys starting at 6:30pm.

The Astros travel upstate to face the Rangers at 7:05pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (Astros) and Bally’s Sports Southwest (Rangers) start coverage at 6:30pm with pregame shows.
