Softball Games Begin to Count

Tuesday launches District 24-6A’s softball season into league play. The games will now count as the road to the playoffs officially begin.


Sunday: Ball alum Jonah Williams will likely be in the lineup when Texas faces Ohio State in the Astros Foundation Classic at Daikin Field. Space City Home Network will have the game live at 2 PM. 

Monday:  The baseball schedule has Friendswood at Brenham at 6 PM, followed by Clear Brook at Barbers Hill, St. Thomas at Clear Falls, and Strake Jesuit at Clear Springs at 7 PM. 

The Rockets conclude their three-game road trip against the Wizards at 6 PM. Space City Home Network will begin at 5:30 PM with the pregame show.

Tuesday: Softball play begins at 5 PM with Hitchcock at New Waverly, followed by Iowa Colony at Ball, Clear Brook at Clear Springs, Clear Creek at Dickinson, Clear Falls at Deer Park, La Marque at Royal, Santa Fe at Angleton, and Texas City at La Porte at 6:30 PM. 

Meanwhile, the baseball slate has La Marque at O’Connell at 5 PM, followed by Clear Creek at Spring Branch Memorial, and Lutheran South at Texas City at 6 PM. Bay Area Christian at Santa Fe begins at 7 PM.

The boys’ soccer schedule begins at 7:30 PM with Clear Brook at Clear Lake, Clear Creek at Brazoswood, Clear Falls at Dickinson, Deer Park at Clear Springs, Friendswood at Angleton, and Texas City at Friendswood.

On the girls’ soccer slate, Clear Lake at Clear Brook, Brazoswood at Clear Creek, Dickinson at Clear Falls, Clear Springs at Deer Park, Angleton at Santa Fe, and La Porte at Texas begin at 7:30 PM

The Astros take on the Venezuela national team as they prepare for the World Baseball Classic. Space City Home Network will have the game live at 5 PM, with the pregame show beginning at 4:30 PM.
