Friday marks 25 years since terrorists struck the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., while heroic passengers downed a flight intended for the U.S. Capitol in Somerset, PA. The horrific acts cost  2,977 lives and injured countless others.

Each high school football game this week will honor the day and the heroism involved that day and the months afterward. 

Wednesday: High school volleyball has two matches, as Deer Park at Clear Brook and Clear Creek at Clear Springs both start at 6 PM.

 The Astros continue their series at the Phillies at 5:40 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 5 PM.

Thursday: Week 3 of the high school football season begins with Elkins at Clear Springs (Challenger Columbia) at 6:30 PM.

Houston’s trip to Philadelphia concludes at 12:05 PM, with Space City Home Network beginning the pregame show at 11:30 AM.

Friday: The high school football schedule kicks off at 7 PM with La Porte at Ball, Cy Ridge at Clear Brook (Veterans Memorial), Clear Creek at Channelview, Dickinson at Atascocita, Friendswood at Victoria East, Santa Fe at Hitchcock, and Columbia at La Marque.

A potential playoff preview faces the Astros when they take on the American League East-leading Rays. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 5:30 PM, leading into the game at 6:10 PM.

The high school volleyball evening begins at 5:30 PM with Ball at Pasadena, followed at 6 PM by Clear Brook at Clear Falls, Barbers Hill at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Dickinson, and Hitchcock at YWCPA. Angleton at Santa Fe and Texas City at state-ranked Friendswood are at 6:30 PM, while Sterling at La Marque begins at 8 PM.

Saturday: High school football is on the slate, with Clear Springs visiting George Ranch at 6 PM and Texas City visiting Yates at 7 PM.

College football begins at 11 AM with Arizona State at #8 Texas A&M (KTRK 13), followed at 3 PM with Lamar at Idaho (ESPN+). Southern at #23 Houston (ESPN+), Arkansas Baptist at Houston Christian (ESPN+), and Tulsa at Sam Houston State (ESPN+) each start at 6 PM, leading into a mammoth clash between #1 Ohio State and #5 Texas (KTRK 13) at 6:30 PM. Prairie View at Baylor (ESPN+) is at 7 PM, while TSU at UTEP (MW+) is at 8 PM. 

Game two of the series between the Astros and Rays starts at 5:10 PM. Space City Home Network starts at 4:30 PM with the pregame show.
