The Nick Gary Foundation (TNGF) annually provides scholarship opportunities to graduating students demonstrating a desire to continue a collegiate or vocational education beyond high school. Since its inception in 2016, TNGF has awarded a total of $30,000 in scholarships in Nick’s memory. Our supportive friends, sponsors, volunteers, and family members make these scholarships possible. Apart from the annual 5k Fun Run scheduled for September 26, 2020, all other athletic events are cancelled due to Covid-19. 5K Registration is open at www.TheNickGaryFoundation.com. If for some reason TNGF is unable to host a live 5K event, the option is to host a virtual race.
TNGF is proud to showcase this year’s recipients of the $1,000 Nick Gary Scholarships:
*Mindy Fu, Ball High School graduate, will attend the University of Texas majoring in Optometry.
*Cambridge Guidry, Dickinson High School graduate, will attend Texas State University majoring in Business – Sports Science.
*Zainab Imtiaz, Clear Horizon Early College High School, will attend Texas A&M majoring in Design Engineering.
*Katriel Ivy, La Marque High School graduate, will attend the University of Texas majoring in Occupational Therapy.
*Natalie Morales, Ball High School graduate, will attend Texas A&M majoring in Petroleum Engineering.
*Brayden Schurwon, Texas City High School graduate, will attend Texas A&M majoring in Engineering.
