Postseason Dreams at Stake for Baseball, Softball

The second week of April means the home stretch for both baseball and softball teams seeking playoff bids. Each game will have a playoff-like feeling as district races continue to get tighter.

Sunday: ESPN will have the clash between the Astros and Rangers beginning at 6:10pm.

Monday: The Astros and Rangers conclude their first tilts of the season with a 7:05 pm start. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30pm with the pregame show.

Tuesday: The high school baseball schedule begins at 5:00pm with South Houston at Texas City, followed at 6:00pm by Pasadena at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Springs, Brazoswood at Clear Falls, Clear Lake at Dickinson, Angleton at Galveston Ball, Iowa Colony at La Marque and Santa Fe at Manvel. Friendswood at La Porte and Hitchcock at Danbury both start at 7:00pm.

Meanwhile, the high school softball slate has Iowa Colony at La Marque beginning at 6:00 pm followed by Clear Creek at Clear Brook, Clear Lake at Clear Springs,Brazoswood at Dickinson,  Santa Fe at Friendswood, Manvel at Galveston Ball, and Texas City at Angleton at 6:30pm.

The Astros continue their first road trip of the season when they visit the Royals at 6:40pm. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:00pm.

It’s farewell to Toyota Center for the Rockets’ 2023-24 season when they host the Magic at 7:00pm. Space City Home Network (territorial restrictions) will have the home finale beginning with the pregame show at 6:30pm.
