Sixth Street is hard at work making sure there are many great experiences to be had this summer. From introducing new members Phillip McDaniel owner of 409 Exotic Flavorz at 12ll 6th Street and Mat Wyatt of Rise Surf, recently moved from 21st ST to 1201 6th Street, extending the reach of wonderful and unique shopping experiences to planning great get togethers like FOOD TRUCK FRIDAYS, our first FAMILY BIKE FESTIVAL and the return of THE OLD SMOKEY 5TH ANNUAL COOK OFF, these folks are busy making sure the “Other 6th Street” rivals the uniqueness and excitement of the original.
Plans are in the works for a Farmers Market, another fabulous Halloween Funfest, the Fall Art Festival and much, much more. And in the mean time you can visit Campeche Coffee for a Keto Coffee, pop in to Urban Gypsies and see all the new and amazing pieces to jazz up your living spaces. You can lunch at the Downtown or grab a bite from Bronco Burrito. Hop over to Da Daquiri for a refreshing treat while you wait for the band to gear up at American Ice House. You can visit a REALTOR, get legal assistance, go to church, shop for antiques and find some of the most unique jewelry in Texas at Karat Creations. Pop into the Art Gallery to see local artist’s work or stop in for a cigar while the kids grab an ice cream at Hey Mikey’s! There are dress shops, bargain resale shops with incredible finds, and just around the corner on 9th Avenue, you can grab a Cosmic Pizza to take home for dinner.
There are new businesses moving in all the time and a few “sweet spots” left for any interested entrepreneurs looking to be a part of this exciting revitalization revolution we lovingly refer to as “The Other 6th Street”. So stop down and stroll around. Come have lunch at Rigo’s and walk it off as you check out all the great shopping and fun folks just waiting to make your visit to 6th Street something special!
