The Village at Tuscan Lakes is proud to present a new vendor at our Second Annual Artisan and Home Décor Market. Kristy’s Kustom Kreations with Tutus, Cookies, & Bling is owned and crafted by Kristy Cotterell and Laurie Blackshear. Kristy has always enjoyed crafting and retail, so put those two together and you get Kristy’s Kustom Kreations. Kristy owned and operated The Soap Emporium in Baybrook Mall for twenty years. It was a family business with her Mom, Dad and Sister-in-law, all participating! Because of personal reasons and the economy, she had to close the business in 2005. Since then Kristy went back to school and became a medical biller and coder. Guess what? She missed the retail life and her creative juices were overflowing. So, here she is making wreaths and loving every minute of it! She hopes to help you add some fun and creativity to your home. Tutus, Cookies, & Bling is owned by Laurie Blackshear just a few of her favorite things. Learning from her Mother and Grandmother, she quickly fell in love with sewing, knitting, crocheting and other forms of crafting. During the last 10 years, she has focused on refining her skills in the construction of classical ballet costumes and headpieces for local dancers competing on the national level. Never one to sit idly by Laurie stays busy in the kitchen in between sewing commissions by baking and decorating cut-out cookies and custom cupcakes. Christmas time will find her house filled with the smell of fresh gingerbread cookies which are a favorite of her family, friends and co-workers.
