7TH ANNUAL MILES FOR THE MAINLAND FUN RUN

Miles for the Mainland returning on September 29,
2018.
United Way Galveston County Mainland and Fit Tri
Run present the 7th Annual Miles for the Mainland
Fun Run. Join us as we raise awareness of our 29
Partner Agencies to promote health and wellbeing in
Galveston County.
The scenic 10K and 5K course will take you from
Rainbow Park (800 Bay Street N, Texas City) through
Bay Street Park and along Sky Line Drive for a
breathtaking sunrise view. Miles for the Mainland 5K
and 10K will be timed for those competitive running
enthusiasts out there.
To make this fun for the whole family, UWGCM is
pulling out all the stops. Kids 10 & under are encouraged
to register for the Kids 1K Fun Run. There will
also be face painting, a moon walk, food and vendors
to make this morning event enjoyable for people of all
ages and abilities.
The first 300 participants who register and pay will
receive a dry fit shirt and other goodies in their Race
Packets. Packet pick-up will be September 24 – September
27 at the UWGCM office located at 2800 Texas
Avenue in Texas City.
