PRAYERS FOR POINTE ANN

Pointe Ann Apartments received prayers and blessings and snacks for the school children arriving home after a long day at school from members of St. George’s Episcopal Church and Resonate Texas last week. The pastors joined forces and walked around the entire apartment complex praying for peace and hope to surround the complex and its inhabitants that they might be able to heal from the terrible occurrence that left three children dead and a mother severely wounded. Snacks were handed out to the children as they come home from school and parents received Blessing Kits filled with chalk blessed by prayer for this purpose, to mark their entryways with the following – 20 + C+ M+ B +19 and a sign of the Cross, a candle to represent the Light of Jesus Christ an Holy Water to sprinkle in each room as prayers provided in the included booklet are said, blessing all who enter. The two digits at the beginning and at the end signify the time we are currently in. The CMB represent the Three Kings that came to Christ’s birthplace and also represent the Latin words for “May Christ Bless This House”. It is their hope that these tokens will help this community, grieving and confused as they attempt to understand the brutal loss of life they were exposed to. It is also their fervent hope that others in our community find a way to reach out to those living at Pointe Ann Apartments so that they can be comforted knowing they are not alone in their grief. Should there be others who would like to receive a Blessing Kit like the ones distributed at Pointe Ann, simply contact St. Georges on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/stgeorgestc/ or https://www.facebook.com/ResonateTexas/ and leave a message. Kits are available at no charge to any and all who want them. Pictured: Mr. & Mrs. Joshua B. Pritchett, Pastor Jervie Windom and Nilda Windom, Pastor Robin Reeves and Beverly and Kent Ross
