Bayou Bowl to feature 10 Galveston County players
TEN AREA HIGH SCHOOL football players were recently announced as members of the East team for the annual Greater Houston Football Coaches Association Bayou Bowl, which will be held at League City’s Challenger-Columbia Stadium on June 8.
Clear Creek quarterback Hunter Smith, Clear Falls offensive lineman Emery Gallia and receiver Brandon Woodson, Clear Springs offensive lineman Chris Aldridge and linebacker Lionell Fredrick, Dickinson offensive lineman Torrey Lastice, Friendswood offensive lineman Michael Gibson, Santa Fe quarterback Nathan Kruger and receiver Austin Lamb and Texas City linebacker Mykahal Brow will don the uniforms of their respective high school teams one last time in a game that will also be aired live on ABC13.
Clear Falls’ Zach Head and Clear Lake’s Larry McRae will serve as the coaches for the East team.
All proceeds from the Bayou Bowl, as well as the Bayou Bowl Golf Tournament, will go directly to scholarships awarded to male and female athletes in the Greater Houston area.
