GALVESTON COUNTY SPORTS SUMMER CAMPS

Basketball
Dickinson High School will host a coed basketball camp for incoming 3rd thru 9th
graders on July 16 &17 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at DHS Competition Gym. Campers
will learn daily fundamentals of shooting, defense, dribbling and passing. Registration
$35 per student. Campers are expected to bring basketball shoes and
a water bottle. Registration can be done on the Dickinson High School website.
Football
Dickinson High School will host its annual football camp for incoming 7th thru 9th
graders from July 29 to August 1 at Sam Vitanza Stadium. Camp times will be
from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. The camp will teach leadership skills, fundamentals for
each position and basic group drills. Cost is $40. For more information, contact

Texas City High School will host its annual Stings Junior Football Camp for incoming
7th thru 9th graders at Stingaree Stadium from July 29 to July 31. The camp is
free and will be run from 9:00am to 12:00pm. A registration form can be found on

Strength and Conditioning
La Marque High School will hold its summer strength and conditioning program
for all incoming 7th thru 12th grade male and female athletes at the LMHS weight
room and football practice fields each Monday thru Thursday from 8:00am to
11:00am. There is no cost to participate. For more information, contact coach

Santa Fe High School will hold summer strength and conditioning sessions for
all incoming 7th thru 12th graders each Monday thru Thursday from 7:00am to
11:00am. Session I will be from 7:00am to 9:00am, while Session II will be from

Texas City High School will hold its summer strength and conditioning program for
all incoming 6th thru 12th grade male and female athletes at the Dowling Stingdome
Weight Room each Monday thru Thursday from 8:00am to 10:00am. There

Soccer
Dickinson High School will host a girls’ soccer camp for incoming 4th thru 9th
graders on July 25 & 26 at the North Field behind Sam Vitanza Stadium. Camp
times will be from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Campers will be taught game fundamentals
that will lead up to a scrimmage at the end of camp. Price is $5, and campers are
asked to bring a canned good on the first day of camp. For more information, contact

Tennis
Texas City High School will host a Summer Tennis Camp for incoming 3rd thru 9th
graders on June 24 thru 26 at the TCHS Tennis Courts from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Cost is $20 per camper, and registration forms can be found at tcisd.org/departments/

Volleyball
La Marque and Texas City High Schools will host a joint volleyball camp on July
29 thru July 31 at the TCHS gyms from 7:00am to 4:00pm. For more information,

coach Angela Norton at anorton@tcisd.org.
Friendswood High School will host a volleyball camp for incoming 1st thru 9th
graders from July 29 to July 31 at Friendswood High School. Camp for 1st thru
5th graders will be held from 8:30am to 11:30am, while camp for 6th thru 9th graders
will be held from 12:00pm to 2:30pm. Cost is $120 per camper. Registration
can be found at the Friendswood ISD’s athletic page. For more information, email
