THE TEXANS WILL HAVE a few fans at NRG Stadium for Sunday’s game while the Astros continue their bid for another trip to the American League Championship Series. Those events will usher in the start of the week, which is highlighted by all 11 area high school volleyball teams in action on Tuesday.
Sunday: There will be a limited number of fans (estimated around 13,000-15,000) for the Texans home date against the Vikings, which kicks off at noon. KHOU-11 will have the broadcast.
The Cowboys return home to AT&T Stadium for a noon date against the Browns. Since the Texans are at home, the Dallas game will be blacked out locally.
Monday: The Astros are scheduled to play Game 1 of the American League Divisional Series between the winner of the Wild Card Series between the Athletics and White Sox. Time and location will be determined.
Tuesday: The evening’s high school volleyball schedule begins with Brazoswood at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Springs, Clear Falls at Clear Lake, Baytown Lee at Friendswood, Santa Fe at Galveston Ball and East Bernard at Hitchcock each starting their matches at 6:00pm. Texas City at Dickinson and Needville at La Marque start at 6:30pm.
Among the high school tennis teams in action will be Galveston Ball at Baytown Lee at 3:30pm and Texas City at La Porte starting at 4:00pm. Friendswood hosts Baytown Sterling with a start time to be determined.
